Uniform for September 2010

Thank you to all the parents and students who took part in the uniform survey. Please note that the uniform will be changing for September 2010. This is an important part of the rebranding of the College and to demonstrate things are changing for the better at PCC.
Further consultation will take place on what the new uniform will look like. I can inform you that I want it to look smart so that students will feel proud to wear the PCC uniform and come to school ready to learn.

Rebranding the Logo

Option One
Click here New Logo Options to see the other options.
Parents, staff and students will be consulted before the final choice is made. For example, colour options can be 'tweaked'.

Parents' Consultation Evenings

Many thanks to the parents/carers who attended the recent KS4 mathematics information evening and Year 9 options evening. For the former there was a massive increase in the number of parents attending - 135 in comparison to 10 in 2009! - with similar numbers attended the Year 9 event. Partnership between school and home is vital if your child is going to be successful. This bodes very well for the College's future.

Many thanks,
Stuart McLaughlin, Principal

E-Safety Information for Parents

In a fast-changing world, where it is sometimes hard to keep pace with changes to technology, our children can often amaze us with their knowledge and ability on the internet. However, there are some dangers, which as parents, you can help protect your children from - if you know how.
The following interactive resource Know IT All for Parents is most helpful.
We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for you to be aware of your child’s online activities. We would strongly recommend that Parents & Carers read the guide to help keep our learners safe on the internet.
