NATIONAL CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS LEVEL TWO

This OCR National Certificate is an ideal qualification for those wishing to start work in roles such office work, sales or administration. It is also possible to progress onto Level 3 qualifications or AS/A Levels as it is equivalent to four GCSEs at grade C or above.

Unit 1: Investigating Business
Students will complete an assignment that requires them to demonstrate their understanding of types of ownership and business objectives. They will also explore industrial sectors, stakeholders, competitors and business location.
Unit 2: Enterprise and Operations
Students will complete an assignment that requires them to demonstrate their understanding of how businesses identify opportunities and support for new business ideas.
Unit 3: Finance in Business
Students will complete an assignment that requires them to demonstrate their understanding of the financial processes that a small business would have to go through to start-up and survive.
Unit 4: Communication in Business
Students will complete an assignment that requires them to demonstrate their understanding of the different types of communication methods used in business and the impact of ICT on communication.
Units 5 and 6 are chosen from a list of options to be negotiated with you tutors.

There are no examinations. Your teacher will assess your work for all units and this will then be checked by OCR. If you are successful you will receive a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade.
