S.W.A.G. :: Student Welfare and Activities Group

The “S.W.A.G.” is elected by the student body at the beginning of the new academic year. Comprising of a mix of Year 12 and Year 13s, the group meet weekly to review all matters concerning the welfare of the 6th form student body. They are in control of a budget and plan events which both enhance life at the college and contribute more widely to the community. The group are also responsible for overseeing the use of the student common room.
First main event for 2008-2009 - Children in Need, Friday 14th November - watch this space for further info.

Achievements :: 2007 – 2008
          £400+ raised for charities including Sport Relief, Children in Need and Student funds
          Negotiated with canteen to enhance common room food
          Organised football, pool and table tennis competitions
          Organised a cat walk fashion show
          Produced and delivered over 25 Christmas parcels to the elderly in the locality
          Organised an end of year trip and leavers' dinner
          Sixth Form T shirts to sell to students.
