MATERIALS & TEXTBOOKS

Your tutor will give you information about equipment, books or materials you need to buy for your course at the first meeting. Please bring a pen, paper etc. as appropriate. Some course textbooks are listed in the course details section. We do not advise the purchase of a textbook until you are certain that a course is going to run. Please ring 422632 for information.

LIBRARY

The College Library is also the Mile Oak Public Library. Please talk to the Librarians about any special requests you may have for books and resources for your course. Opening hours: Please ring 296916.

SMALL CLASSES

Small study groups can often run if students pay a slightly higher fee or have a shorter course. Any decision on this will be made by the group concerned. Some groups are smaller by design and course fees may reflect this. The maximum number is indicated in the course information section where appropriate.

SATURDAY COURSES

Please bring a packed lunch and a drink.

By Car

Please see the map on the inside front cover. The College has two car parks at Chalky Road and one at the 6th Form Centre. Please park carefully if using off-site roads.

TWO FOR ONE SCHEME

If you, or someone you know, might find it difficult to come to a course of your choice, please contact us. We offer a ‘two for the price of one’ scheme that enables someone to come along with you. For full details ring 01273-422632.

DAYTIME STUDY - ADULTS IN THE 6TH FORM CENTRE

You can study during the daytime alongside our 6th Form students at the College’s Sixth Form Centre which is located on the High Street.

For full details about 6th Form Centre courses for adults please ring Margaret McHugh (01273 410711) before 26th July or after 3rd September. NB Courses start from 5th September. Fees payable.

TRAINING FOR BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY

The College can provide training for large and small companies in the Food Hygiene Foundation Certificate; First Aid at Work and a range of Computing, Internet and Word Processing courses. Please ring 01273-422632 and ask us to put together a package for you. Many of our part-time adult students are sponsored by their employers.
