Mathematics
We believe mathematics can be enjoyable and fulfilling for students of all ability levels. By using problem-solving and investigative activities, we hope to build students' confidence as they develop their own mathematical knowledge and skills.A number of teaching methods and resources are used in Maths lessons. These include the use of games and investigations, textbooks and ICT activities.
Homework is set once a week in Years 7, 8 and 9 and twice a week in Years 10 and 11. Each homework should take your child 30 – 40 minutes. We are happy for you to help your child with their homework but you should also encourage them to seek help from their teacher if they are having difficulty.
