Remember that the College library is open and its facilities are available before, during and after the school day. It is also available as 'Mile Oak Library' on Saturdays and during the school holidays.
The library facilities include :

Search Engines
Remember to use speech marks “ ” at the beginning and end of the words you are entering in the search box. This can cut the rubbish by 90%!

Ask Jeeves UK
Free text based search engine. Take care with the spelling!
Altavista
Sometimes finds different sites to Yahoo.

British Library's Learning Service
for teachers and students. Includes pages such as 21st Century Citizen.
e.encyclopedia
This dedicated website was created by Google to support the Dorling Kindersley book of the same name.
Exploratorium
The science in our everyday lives. Be warned - can spend ages on this one! For example - try out the science behind skateboarding pages.
HomeWork Elephant
This site can be slow to load but has some useful links.
Homework High
Recently updated, this site gives excellent revision choices. The 'arcade' offers subject related games - good fun!

A Canadian homework directory.
Schoolzone
A free information resource for schools in the UK.
Revision Links
BBC Bitesize
for KS3 and GCSEs. I've included specific links on each subject page.
CGP Online Revision
Part of the main CGP site, offers some Practice Exercises. Select the Level and subject you need.
