All our books about Portslade, Brighton & Hove,
East Sussex and West Sussex are shelved in 'Local Studies' at the
beginning of the Adult Non-fiction books, backing onto the College
ICT area.
Apart from a few such as Ghosts at 133, most books
had been grouped together under general headings, see the Shelf
Numbers to the left but we are in the process of changing their shelf numbers so I apologise if things are not as straight forward as they should be!
This section also contains useful information such

My
Brighton and Hove This site is a living history of Brighton and Hove. On the site,
people share their memories, photos, knowledge and opinions about
the city - as it is today and as it was in the past. There are over
1,000 pages about local places and topics, plus virtual city tours
created by local people and an area map. The site is entirely built
and edited by volunteers.
We also have the CD Rom 'My Brighton' which was a forerunner of this
site.
The
Regency Society
The Regency Society was formed in 1946. It campaigns for the preservation
of the historic architecture of Brighton & Hove and promotes Georgian,
Regency, Victorian, 20th. and 21st. century art and architecture.
The Society also works with Brighton and Hove City Council and other
bodies on planning matters such as new roads, buildings and the use
of open spaces.
