What is Connexions?
‘Connexions’ is an
initiative which brings together advice and support for young people
aged between 13-19 years. This is done through Eve Woodeson who
is the Personal Adviser for PCC and the Village Centre.
What support does she offer?
The role of the Personal Adviser is to provide access to information
and listen to any issues that young people may have. This could
include:
• Careers
• Self-esteem and confidence
• Bullying
• Relationships
• Jobs
• Your rights
• Transition from school to college or school to work at
16
• Organisations and opportunities within Brighton and Hove
If you feel that you have an issue that you would like to discuss
then you can arrange to meet with Eve and she will be able to support
you to find the information you need.
How can you contact her?
Eve is based at Portslade Community College in the careers office
on a Monday and Friday and at the Village Centre on a Wednesday
and Thursday. You can contact Eve either via email: evewoodeson@yahoo.co.uk or telephone: 01273 416838.
If you cannot make contact with Eve personally then you can leave
a written message for her at either the Village Centre or PCC and
she will get back to you. How can I find out more about Connexions?
