Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Group meets on Thursdays 6-8pm at the Village Centre. The group has gone from strength to strength this year with six students recently receiving their Bronze Awards from the Mayor of Brighton and Hove at the annual D of E Presentation Evening held at Hove Town Hall.

The students involved were: Marwan Awar, Charlie Farrow, Steph Harber, Jason Preston, Luke Vincent and David Wheeler. They all deserve tremendous praise for their effort, commitment and skill in gaining such a prestigious award.

We are also continuing to support a small group of students attempting their Gold Awards. They are close to completing all their challenges and should receive their awards in 2007.

In January we are starting the programme for our new Bronze/Silver groups. Any student in Year 9 or above who is interested in joining is asked to contact Nick Schildkamp, DofE Co-ordinator at the Village Centre (Tel 01273 416838). Or visit our contact page.
